Technical Cementing Engineer – Kuwait

About the role

The Technical Cementing Engineer will provide technical leadership and engineering support for all cementing activities across the well construction lifecycle in Kuwait. This role ensures effective zonal isolation, well integrity and long‑term performance by designing, evaluating and optimizing cementing solutions that meet safety, environmental and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design primary, remedial and special cementing programs for drilling, casing, liner, completion, remedial and abandonment operations.
• Coordinate with the cement laboratory to plan and review slurry testing.
• Provide on‑site technical support during field operations and act as the main technical liaison with customers.
• Analyse post‑job performance, comparing planned versus actual execution.
• Ensure compliance with API standards, ISO requirements, company QHSE policies and client specifications.
• Utilise cementing software such as CEMPRO for design and simulation.
• Train field specialists and equipment operators on cementing best practices.
• Promote safety culture by participating in risk assessments, JSA, toolbox talks and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• Proven experience in cementing design and field support within oilfield services.
• Strong understanding of well construction processes and zonal isolation principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with laboratory teams, field crews and clients.
• Commitment to safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
