Technical Support Engineer

About the role

ABYAT is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of end‑user devices, Microsoft services, retail technology systems, and IT infrastructure across its stores and corporate offices in Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for hardware, software, operating systems and peripheral devices at all ABYAT locations.
• Manage incidents and service requests via the IT ticketing system, meeting defined service levels.
• Administer Active Directory – create user accounts, manage access, update group memberships, and handle onboarding/off‑boarding.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Office) and resolve related account or email issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop, laptop, printer and workstation problems.
• Perform first‑level network troubleshooting (connectivity, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, wireless).
• Maintain POS systems, receipt printers, barcode scanners and other retail technology to ensure uninterrupted showroom operations.
• Prioritize critical incidents affecting sales, store productivity or management users.
• Document tickets, technical procedures and standard operating procedures accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve technical issues and support infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in technical support, IT support, service desk or helpdesk environments.
• Proven ability to handle incidents, service requests and provide excellent customer service.

Required skills
