Accountant

About the role

Gwaisha Al-Arbash, a Kuwaiti luxury jewelry house founded in 1959, is looking for an Accountant for a full-time, on-site position in Kuwait. The role works closely with management to provide accurate, timely financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers and reconciling accounts
• Prepare financial statements and management reports, monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting
• Manage accounts payable and receivable and coordinate with banks and external partners
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
• Support inventory and cost tracking for jewelry production and retail, and assist in periodic audits

Required profile

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent, and experience in retail or luxury goods, are advantageous
• Ability to work on-site in Kuwait, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting
