Bid Manager

About the role

The Bid Manager will oversee the full bid lifecycle for architecture, engineering and construction projects, from RFP receipt through to hand‑over to operations. This role ensures a structured, auditable and collaborative process that delivers compelling, financially robust proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Convene round‑table meetings with stakeholders to define a criteria‑driven bid strategy for each opportunity.
• Create and review opportunity storyboards, providing innovative input to optimise the bid.
• Ensure visual clarity, attractiveness and financial robustness of proposals based on client analysis.
• Lead, develop and engage the Bid Team, managing performance and conduct.
• Coordinate the hand‑over of proposals to Operations, supporting project managers and design teams.
• Address post‑submission queries quickly, collaborating with departmental representatives.
• Prepare financial strategies and proposals, including new pricing mechanisms as required.
• Work with Marketing and Graphic Design to ensure brand‑aligned documentation.
• Analyse competitive advantage, market rates and client preferences to shape bid content.
• Develop teaming and bid‑winning strategies, reviewing RFPs for risk and workload.
• Support the Director in go/no‑go decisions and source validated labour rates and man‑month quotations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of senior‑level bid management experience in the architectural, engineering or construction sector.
• Experience working in a consultancy environment, preferably with recent Middle East exposure.
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management or a related field.
