Business Director

About the role

Monks is seeking a Business Director to lead and expand senior client relationships across Kuwait and the wider Gulf region. You will act as a trusted strategic advisor to C‑suite and senior marketing leaders, driving growth for our digital marketing and technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary executive contact for a portfolio of senior clients in Kuwait and the GCC.
• Build and maintain C‑suite relationships, delivering strategic advice aligned with business objectives and digital maturity.
• Lead quarterly business reviews, annual planning sessions, and executive presentations.
• Own revenue targets, ensuring retention, growth, and profitability of the portfolio.
• Identify and convert organic growth opportunities across Monks’ full service offering, including creative production, media, data, and technology.
• Oversee pitch responses, RFPs, and new‑business pursuits in the region.
• Negotiate contracts, scopes of work, and commercial terms in collaboration with finance and operations.
• Translate complex digital marketing challenges into clear strategic recommendations.
• Champion Monks’ proprietary AI‑powered tools and data capabilities.
• Lead cross‑functional delivery teams and mentor junior client services staff.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or MarTech, with at least 4 years in a senior client leadership role.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven track record managing large, complex accounts (ideally $1M+ annual revenue) and comfortable with P&L and forecasting.
• Deep understanding of the Gulf market, especially Kuwait, and cultural fluency.
• Strong knowledge of digital platforms, paid media, social, CRM, and data & analytics.
