Learning & Development Officer

About the role

The Learning & Development Officer will design, deliver and continuously improve training and onboarding programs for a fast‑growing retail organisation. The role ensures new hires are smoothly integrated and existing staff receive ongoing development aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive training programs, including e‑learning, workshops and in‑person sessions.
• Create training materials, manuals and presentations that reflect current best practices.
• Conduct needs assessments with department heads to identify skill gaps and tailor learning solutions.
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops and seminars for employees at all levels.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through surveys, feedback and performance metrics, and refine content accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress and certifications.
• Support employee development through coaching, mentoring and career‑development resources.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of proven experience in training, development or HR, preferably in a retail environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with AI and design tools to enhance training materials.
