Network Administrator I - Secret Clearance

About the role

V2X builds smart solutions that integrate physical and digital infrastructure, from base to battlefield, and its OMDAC-SWACA program employs Network Administrators who work in teams on routine maintenance and on solving more complex issues. Network Administrators troubleshoot network problems, outages and anomalies, gather the necessary information and know which work centers or sites to involve. They handle issues that cannot be resolved by a site Network Administrator II and help escalate them to the NOC.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of VoIP phones, switches, wired and wireless routers and encryption devices
• Monitor availability and reliability of LAN/WAN and wireless networks and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity
• Provide technical support for VoIP networks and resolve customer interface and user issues
• Configure VLANs and ACLs, and use Spectrum and other tools to manage the network
• Plan network development and expansion as needed
• Enforce network security procedures, including DISA STIG compliance and best practices
• Report outages and corrective actions to the NOC service desk and NOC Watch Officer, and give updates on concerns
• Train new NA I personnel and perform other duties as required

Required profile

• Active Secret clearance; candidates must meet host-country requirements, including a host nation visa and driver's license
• Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education
• Two years of experience in a networking environment, or up to four years of higher-level academic study
• Experience with a customer service-oriented company
• Ability to withstand extreme heat and lift or pull up to 50 lbs while wearing protective gear

Required skills

• Cisco IOS, sub-netting and switching
• At least one baseline certification and one computing environment certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CASP+, Security+, CISSP)
