Night Tool Pusher

About the role

The Night Tool Pusher supervises and controls all drilling activities during the night shift, ensuring safe and efficient well completion while working closely with the Senior Tool Pusher and client representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety of personnel, equipment and the environment on the drill floor.
• Plan, schedule and direct night‑shift drilling operations in line with the client’s well plan.
• Approve and monitor drilling permits, JSA and PTW documents.
• Ensure space‑out drawings are posted and post‑jarring sheets are completed.
• Assist the driller, relieve the driller when required, and ensure equipment readiness for each drilling phase.
• Perform well‑control calculations and supervise well‑killing operations.
• Participate in the rig’s Emergency Response Team and conduct safety drills.

Required profile

• Proven experience in night‑shift drilling operations and crew supervision.
• Strong understanding of well‑control principles and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to liaise with senior staff and client representatives and document changes in Synergi.
• Attention to safety, environmental protection and operational efficiency.

Required skills

• Well‑control calculations (mud weight, circulating pressures, strokes).
• Drilling operations planning and execution.
• Use of Synergi for change‑management approvals.
• Preparation and review of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and PTW (Permit to Work) documents.
• Emergency response coordination and safety drill facilitation.
