Painter & Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Painter & Maintenance Technician will respond to guest repair requests and ensure the hotel’s interiors and exteriors remain in excellent condition. This full‑time position combines painting, surface preparation, minor carpentry and drywall work with general facility maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, HVAC filters, and perform basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains.
• Conduct basic electrical work, including replacing switches and outlets.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate and perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment and mechanical room assets.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any repair work.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry systems.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety policies and maintain professional appearance.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
• Clear communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
