Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate represents the brand by maximising sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience. The role also covers operational duties such as store maintenance and visual presentation standards, as assigned by the store manager or assistant store manager.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, help them choose the right products and convert window shoppers into buyers
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program and follow the GUEST selling guideline (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank)
• Keep up to date with the group's brands for suggestive selling and maintain accurate product knowledge
• Ensure the store is well-groomed and presentable at all times
• Display stock neatly according to standard layout norms and VM guidelines, and record inventory movements
• Handle the POS and billing counter efficiently, tally the cash till, issue receipts and refunds, and process cash, card, voucher and debit payments
• Stay vigilant on security, follow SOPs and loss prevention policies, and keep sales figures confidential
• Be flexible to work extended hours during sales periods and varied shifts and overtime

Required profile

• Presentable, well-groomed and flexible to work long hours during sales periods
• Up-to-date product knowledge and attention to minimal stock loss
• Ability to work varied shifts and overtime as required by the business
