Sales Executive – Commercial Freight

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to drive commercial freight business, retain existing clients and acquire new ones. The role contributes to the logistics sales budget by promoting the full range of freight forwarding services.

Key responsibilities

• Secure new customers while maintaining and developing existing accounts.
• Meet and exceed revenue targets set for the department.
• Generate a minimum number of sales leads and convert them into revenue‑generating business.
• Provide timely, professional communication with customers and support Customer Service, Operations, and Documentation teams.
• Gather market information and participate in business development meetings.
• Follow up on outstanding payments in coordination with the Finance Controller.
• Maintain up‑to‑date lists of existing and potential customers.
• Prepare weekly activity reports, prospect lists, and sales call plans.
• Monitor competitor activities and industry trends.
• Ensure customer satisfaction against set targets.

Required profile

• University graduate.
• 3–5 years of proven sales and marketing experience, preferably in freight or logistics.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Valid vehicle driving licence.
• Good grooming, appearance and interpersonal skills.
