WAN Security Engineer – Secret Clearance

About the role

The WAN Security Engineer will join V2X’s global team to protect enterprise‑class network infrastructures across a deployed theater. The role requires expert‑level certifications and a Secret clearance to design, implement and maintain advanced firewall, proxy and Zero‑Trust solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide enterprise‑level support for firewall access‑list modifications and device access control.
• Design, troubleshoot, optimise and document network security technologies including Cisco Firepower NGFW, FMC, Menlo CBII, Forescout Enterprise Manager and Cisco ISE.
• Enforce security policies, investigate malicious activity and ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, IAVA and CCRI requirements.
• Maintain proxy web‑filtering policies, AAA services and detailed network diagrams.
• Monitor device health with network monitoring tools and manage tickets via ServiceNow.
• Support Comply to Connect (C2C) infrastructure and collaborate on Zero‑Trust architecture.

Required profile

• Expert‑level certifications such as CCNP/CCIE and CISSP.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain host‑nation visa and driver’s licence.
• Proven experience with enterprise network security and change‑management processes.
