Network Engineer (Cisco) – Full-Time

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. The role involves maintaining, optimizing, and expanding our network infrastructure while ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize network performance, schedule and apply upgrades.
• Build, configure, and update switches, routers, wireless devices, and telephony systems.
• Troubleshoot network issues, resolve Tier 2/3 tickets, and respond quickly to outages.
• Deploy and maintain solutions designed by senior engineers and implement network designs.
• Audit and manage IP addressing, subnets, and routing models.
• Define, document, and enforce network standards, policies, and access controls.
• Collaborate with network architects on optimization and deployments.
• Support Microsoft servers, HP Data Center hardware, and related management software.
• Ensure network security and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience.
• Valid Cisco CCNP certification.
• Driving license and transferable residency.

Required skills

• Cisco IOS proficiency and router/switch configuration.
• Configuration of Cisco firewalls (FirePOWER), telephony, and wireless.
• Network design and implementation, MPLS, VRF.
• IPv4 subnetting, IP addressing, OSPF, EIGRP, LAN knowledge.
• Familiarity with HSRP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, TFTP, Syslog.
• Knowledge of Microsoft servers and HP Data Center operations.
• Network troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
