ESG Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an ESG Accountant to join our finance team in Ahmadi, Kuwait. The role offers the chance to work within one of the world’s largest energy‑service providers, supporting accounting, internal controls and financial reporting for our ESG‑related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal vouchers and other accounting entries.
• Produce accounting reports and perform increasingly complex analyses using spreadsheets or specialised applications.
• Research and resolve accounting issues while ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards.
• Support forecasting, financial analysis and reporting for the assigned location and department.
• Collaborate with business units to understand processes, policies and organisational structure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Knowledge of US GAAP or country‑specific accounting principles.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CMA, CPA) is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• SAP S/4 HANA Finance module.
• Other ERP accounting software.
• Understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
