Power Generation & Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Power Generation & Infrastructure Engineer will design, develop, and maintain power generation facilities and related infrastructure in Kuwait. The role requires hands‑on expertise with electrical and HVAC systems, generators, and energy management technologies, working on‑site five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design power generation assets such as gas engines, solar arrays, and fuel cells, together with electrical distribution networks.
• Lead engineering activities from concept through construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with utility providers to secure grid interconnections and ensure compliance with local and military regulations.
• Create predictive‑maintenance programs and troubleshoot plant or infrastructure failures to minimise downtime.
• Perform load forecasting, thermodynamic analysis, and energy modelling to optimise efficiency and control costs.
• Operate, monitor and control energy‑management systems, air‑handling units, pumps, compressed‑air and vacuum systems.
• Interpret schematic diagrams and blueprints, and adhere to code specifications for equipment testing and repair.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience with electrical and HVAC systems.
• Top Secret personnel clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI.
• Proven ability to install, repair and maintain generators (3 kW‑100 kW, 50/60/400 Hz).
• Experience with mobile and fixed communications ECUs, commercial/industrial HVAC, high‑ and low‑voltage wiring, and single‑ and three‑phase services.
• Capability to perform ad‑hoc QA or design tasks with minimal supervision.
