Cards Product Manager

About the role

Our client, a global cards and payments firm working with a leading bank in Kuwait, is looking for a Cards Product Manager to support the head of cards. The role involves developing and implementing product strategies, driving growth, and managing the end‑to‑end card lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies for credit, debit and prepaid card portfolios, including market expansion and partnership initiatives.
• Analyse portfolio performance – profitability, utilisation, customer satisfaction – and monitor KPIs such as activation, spend uplift, attrition and digital adoption.
• Lead marketing and promotional campaigns, loyalty programmes and customer communications to increase card usage.
• Coordinate with Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance and third‑party vendors to ensure technical and operational readiness (BIN configuration, tokenisation, digital wallets, fraud controls, card production and dispatch).
• Conduct regulatory, data‑privacy and impact assessments and ensure compliance with Kuwait card‑scheme requirements.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in cards product management, with a proven record of driving business growth.
• In‑depth knowledge of the cards market, industry trends and the regulatory environment in Kuwait.
• Experience launching new card products (credit, debit, prepaid) and managing large‑scale migration or upgrade projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with portfolio management tools.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Tableau for data analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of card‑issuing platforms, BIN configuration, tokenisation, digital wallets, recurring payments, authorisations/clearing, 3DS/ACS and fraud‑control mechanisms.
• API integration experience with modern payment technologies.
• Familiarity with card‑scheme requirements, data‑privacy regulations and governance frameworks.
