Material Controller – Shipyard & Power Station Projects

About the role

The Material Controller will support the Boiler & Piping Project Management Department on a large power‑station and water‑distillation project in Kuwait. The role focuses on managing material flow, ensuring timely procurement and maintaining accurate inventory records for critical boiler equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stock audits.
• Forecast material demand based on production schedules.
• Plan and execute procurement activities, coordinating with vendors.
• Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments.
• Track orders and update data systems to reflect real‑time status.
• Support warehouse operations and oversee material handling.
• Monitor quality and cost control throughout the supply chain.
• Generate reports on material usage, costs, and vendor performance.

Required profile

• 12th grade education plus a Diploma with a specialization in Material Management.
• 5–8 years of experience in material control, preferably on power‑station or water‑distillation projects.
• Proven experience in shipyard or large‑scale industrial environments.
