Operational Risk Officer

About the role

The Operational Risk Officer will join CINET’s risk team in Kuwait City, working on‑site to embed operational risk management and business continuity practices across the organisation. You will collaborate with multiple departments to identify, assess and monitor risks, ensuring the company’s resilience and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of operational risk management (ORM) and business continuity management (BCM) frameworks.
• Identify, assess and document operational, strategic and IT‑related risks.
• Maintain and update the company’s risk register.
• Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and prepare risk reports and dashboards.
• Assist with risk assessments, internal audits and control testing.
• Develop, maintain and test Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
• Coordinate business continuity exercises and testing activities.
• Promote risk awareness through training and communication initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT, technology risk, operational risk, business continuity or a similar area.
• Basic understanding of ORM and BCM principles.
• Knowledge of IT, information security and technology‑related risk concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent report writing, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work ethically, maintain confidentiality and coordinate with multiple departments.
