ADPE Technician (Desktop Support) – Camp Arifjan

About the role

The ADPE Technician provides professional laptop and desktop support to military and civilian customers at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring network connections, and ensuring system stability on DoD‑approved platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain DOD‑approved communications software and security tools on government computers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems, software issues (Windows OS, Microsoft Office 2007), and network connectivity at the desktop level.
• Join PCs to Microsoft Active Directory domains, configure Outlook, and manage personal folders.
• Configure local PC connections to network printers and perform custom TCP/IP settings.
• Repair and maintain desktop and laptop hardware, and perform other Service Desk functions as required.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with an active Secret (or higher) security clearance.
• High school diploma or GED with at least two years of automation equipment repair experience.
• Valid U.S. passport, International Driver’s Permit, and U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to pass medical, dental, psychological, and police clearance examinations.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and adherence to DoD 8570.01‑M certification requirements.

Required skills

• Windows operating systems (including Windows 10) and Microsoft Office 2007.
• Active Directory, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Network printer installation and TCP/IP configuration.
• Hardware repair for desktops and laptops.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, and other DoD‑approved baseline certifications.
