Aircraft Mechanic II – UH‑60 (Buehring, Kuwait)

About the role

The UH‑60 Aircraft Mechanic II provides comprehensive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for military tactical helicopters stationed in Buehring, Kuwait. The role ensures aircraft are safe, mission‑ready, and compliant with all technical directives.

Key responsibilities

• Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, and mechanical flight controls.
• Prepare aircraft for inspections, perform scheduled and special inspections, and conduct limited operational checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems using special tools, test equipment, and technical manuals.
• Maintain and repair flight controls, engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and other mechanical components.
• Interpret Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages to resolve moderate to complex problems.
• Participate in maintenance test flights and operational checks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid US passport (minimum 3 years before expiration, 6 blank pages) and US citizenship.
• Ability to obtain NAC‑I clearance, Kuwait PCC clearance, and pass CENTCOM physical requirements.
• With a valid FAA A&P certificate: minimum 2 years aviation maintenance, 2 years rotary‑wing experience, and 2 years UH‑60 experience within the last 5 years.
• Without FAA A&P: minimum 3 years aviation maintenance, 3 years rotary‑wing experience, and 3 years UH‑60 experience within the last 6 years.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training is desired.

Required skills

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification (preferred).
• Aircraft maintenance on rotary‑wing platforms.
• UH‑60 specific maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of airframe and power‑plant systems.
• Ability to read and apply technical manuals and maintenance directives.
• Proficiency with special tools and test equipment for troubleshooting.
• Repair of flight control, engine, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and mechanical systems.
