Aircraft Technical Inspector (CH-47) – Buehring, Kuwait

About the role

The Aircraft Technical Inspector (CH‑47) will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental compliance for CH‑47 helicopters and associated support equipment operating from Buehring, Kuwait. The role involves hands‑on inspection, testing and certification of aircraft systems throughout maintenance cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, repairs, modifications, calibrations and functional tests on complex mechanical and electromechanical aircraft systems following military manuals and test procedures.
• Conduct receiving, in‑process, final quality and flight‑safety inspections at organizational, intermediate and depot levels.
• Approve or reject work performed by field teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications and technical data.
• Review and endorse locally developed repair procedures and solutions for complex issues.
• Analyze defect trends, monitor safety and training requirements, and carry out daily site safety and Foreign Object Damage inspections.
• Manage tool control programs and maintain calibration records for test equipment.
• Coordinate with Customer Quality Assurance Representatives on mandatory inspection points and final acceptance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years recent aircraft maintenance experience, including at least one year inspecting CH‑47 helicopters.
• U.S. passport with at least six blank pages and two‑year validity; ability to obtain Kuwait visa and facility credentials.
• Pass Army MOD Medical for deployment.

Required skills

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or equivalent five‑year CH‑47 inspection experience.
• Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in quality‑control inspections, flight‑safety inspections and calibration of measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of tool‑control programs and safety inspection procedures.
