About the role
The Assistant Human Rights Officer (TJO) will support the implementation of activities carried out by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the occupied Palestinian territory. Working under the direct supervision of the Head of the Gaza Sub‑office and guided by the Head of Office and the Head of the Monitoring team, the incumbent will contribute to the monitoring, documentation and reporting of violations of international human rights and humanitarian law.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of all activities related to monitoring, documenting and reporting violations of international human rights law and international humanitarian law.
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation in line with relevant United Nations resolutions.
- Collaborate with senior staff to ensure accurate and timely collection of information.
Required profile
- Ability to work under the direct supervision of senior officers.
- Interest in human rights monitoring and reporting in conflict‑affected settings.
