Assistant Well Site Leader

About the role

The Assistant Well Site Leader supports the Well Site Leader in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant well operations. This role focuses on HSE protection, resource planning, and coordination with customers, contractors, and third‑party supervisors on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety and operations briefings, daily planning meetings, and debriefs with all stakeholders.
• Update forecasts and activity plans to anticipate resource needs and optimise service delivery.
• Verify that equipment and services meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory of cement, barite, bits, rental equipment and coordinate with suppliers.
• Prepare and issue material and equipment requests to avoid operational disruptions.
• Develop detailed procedures for specific operations such as casing runs and cementing, including technical calculations.
• Ensure compliance with Schlumberger policies, Integration PL standards, and standing orders.
• Monitor communications, keep stakeholders informed, and provide necessary information to service providers.
• Prepare daily cost estimates based on goods consumed and services rendered.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives and support incident response and recovery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in well‑site operations or a related oil‑and‑gas field.
• Strong understanding of HSE practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lead meetings, coordinate multiple parties, and manage resources effectively.
