B1 Certifying Engineer – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The B1 Certifying Engineer will perform, supervise and certify line‑maintenance tasks on Air Arabia aircraft, ensuring airworthiness and operational reliability in line with CAR 66 B1 licence authorisation.

Key responsibilities

• Review task cards with the Maintenance Manager to understand work scope, priorities and documentation requirements.
• Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance, securing required parts, tools and ground support equipment.
• Conduct aircraft tests and inspections, identify and record defects according to approved procedures.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects following Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and engineering instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks within the limits of the B1 licence, confirming completion of all documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless hand‑over and continuity of work.
• Manage safety by applying mandatory precautions, using proper protective equipment and overseeing human‑factor aspects.

Required profile

• Valid CAR 66 B1 licence authorisation.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and documentation.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with flight crews, technical teams and external personnel.
