About the role
Amentum is seeking a Bengali linguist to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait as a Subject Matter Expert. The role involves providing translation, interpretation, and cultural insight for senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations, including interpretation during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
- Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
- Supply a variety of translation and interpretation services for Bengali.
Required profile
- U.S. citizen with a current passport.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Bengali and Level 2+ in English.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work in Kuwait, including shifts and extended hours for 24/7 operations.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs; must undergo a medical examination.
