About the role
Amentum is seeking qualified Punjabi linguists to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait. This position provides language and cultural expertise to senior leadership and intelligence customers on an as‑needed basis.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational linguist support, including interpretation during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe, analyze, and translate verbal communications and foreign‑language documents.
- Deliver cultural briefings on historical, political, sociological, and economic trends of the region.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship with a current passport.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Punjabi and Level 2+ in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work shifts, extended hours, and in‑country (Kuwait) onsite.
Required skills
- Professional translation and interpretation services for Punjabi.
- Document scanning, research, and analysis for key information extraction.
