Cashier

About the role

Alghanim Industries is looking for a Cashier to handle payments smoothly, efficiently, honestly and accurately. The role covers counting cash, processing credit and debit card payments, selling gift cards and Telly cards at the POS terminal, and guiding customers to the delivery area while explaining the refund and exchange policy.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: greet customers warmly, stay presentable and friendly, identify and meet their needs, treat everyone with equal respect, assist with packing and guide customers to the delivery area.
• Keep customers informed, update their information, offer to forward invoices by email and explain the return and exchange policy.
• Sales: know products and services well, follow in-store promotions, discounts, credit and coupons, and promote gift cards, warranty programmes and Telly cards with their benefits.
• Operations: process payments quickly, follow POS procedures and company policies, keep the cash desk and packing area clean, and follow safety and security rules.
• Count and balance cash, credit slips, vouchers and coupons against sales at the end of the shift, and master the computer applications used to finalize payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 1 year of overall experience.
• Good English and good communication skills.
