Chef de Partie - Employee Cafeteria (Arabic Cuisine)

About the role

Four Seasons Kuwait is hiring a chef de partie for its employee cafeteria, which serves Arabic cuisine. The role covers menu support, kitchen organisation, quality control and team leadership, and involves working across different shifts and areas of the pastry kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and developing menus for the employee cafeteria and ensure consistent preparation and presentation of all food items.
• Control labour and operating costs through organisation, purchasing decisions and inventory control.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organised and ensure compliance with Four Seasons' sanitation standards and local, state and federal regulations.
• Communicate with employees and managers, attend regular operational meetings and coordinate with other departments.
• Inspect food frequently to ensure quality standards and inspire and motivate team members, including team-building activities.
• Support the pastry team on the floor and work across different shifts and areas of the pastry kitchen.

Required profile

• At least three years of experience in a similar role within an Arabic specialty restaurant in a five-star luxury hotel environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure, with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English are essential.
• Able to work in different shifts and areas of the pastry kitchen.

Required skills

• Able to type, cost recipes, make pick-up charts and use spreadsheets to make work efficient.
