Civil Engineer (Bilingual) – Kuwait

About the role

The Civil Engineer will provide the technical backbone for Zaleej Real Estate’s development projects across residential, commercial and mixed‑use sites in Kuwait. Working closely with the Project Manager, the role ensures engineering quality, code compliance and seamless coordination of consultants, contractors and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site investigations, analysing topography, soil conditions and environmental factors.
• Design site infrastructure including roads, utilities, drainage, retaining structures and grading.
• Prepare detailed site plans that meet Kuwait Municipality zoning regulations and the Kuwait Engineering Code.
• Produce and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations and technical documents.
• Approve contractor shop drawings, material submittals and method statements; maintain accurate as‑built records.
• Provide on‑site technical supervision, conduct regular inspections and resolve RFIs and design clarifications.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, suggest value‑engineering opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with municipal, environmental, fire and safety standards; prepare and submit permit applications.
• Liaise with Kuwait authorities (Municipality, MPW, EPA, Civil Defence, MEW) to secure approvals.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, structural consultants and quantity surveyors to resolve technical clashes.

Required profile

• Bilingual in Arabic and English.
