Civil Superintendent (Offshore Piling Works)

About the role

The Civil Superintendent will lead offshore piling activities on a new oil and gas project in Kuwait, supervising field personnel, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with project management to keep operations smooth and well‑organized.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate offshore piling operations in line with project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements and schedules.
• Manage subcontractors, construction crews, marine assets and equipment while interfacing with engineering, QA/QC, HSE and client representatives.
• Administer construction safety practices and maintain effective communication across all on‑site activities.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma in Civil or Geological Engineering (preferable) with at least 10 years of civil construction experience, including 5 years as a Superintendent on offshore piling or marine foundation projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and to prepare site demands for manpower, equipment, tools and materials.
• Excellent spoken and written English and the capacity to work independently or within a multicultural team.
• Previous experience on offshore projects in GCC countries with an EPC or heavy‑industrial construction company is preferred.

Required skills

• Offshore piling methodologies and marine foundation systems.
• Geotechnical engineering principles and heavy‑lifting operations.
• Experience with driven piles, bored piles, CFA piles, sheet piling, steel tubular piles and jacket foundations.
• Knowledge of international construction standards, offshore codes, permit‑to‑work systems and safe work practices.
