Consultant of Interventional Radiology & Pain Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Interventional Radiology and Pain Management to join our multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering high‑quality image‑guided procedures, managing acute and chronic pain, and contributing to departmental quality and safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic pain conditions with individualized care plans.
• Perform image‑guided procedures, injections, and nerve blocks using real‑time ultrasound and fluoroscopy.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure follow‑up care.
• Uphold safety standards, infection‑control protocols, and approved clinical privileges for every procedure.
• Provide cross‑specialty consultations and coordinate complex patient referrals.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation compliant with JCI and medico‑legal standards.
• Participate in on‑call rota and provide clinical coverage as required.
• Contribute to service development, clinical pathways, and hospital‑wide committees.

Required profile

• MBBS/MBBCH with a Master’s degree in the specialty.
• Doctorate, Fellowship or Board Certification recognized by Kuwait’s Ministry of Higher Education.
• Minimum 9 years of post‑degree experience in Interventional Radiology and Pain Management.
• Proven expertise in image‑guided pain procedures and a steady hand.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multicultural, patient‑first hospital environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork and professional integrity.
