Consultant - Process Simulation & Facility Optimization

About the role

Anton, an integrated oil and gas value-added management services company headquartered in Dubai, is hiring a Consultant for Process Simulation and Facility Optimization in Kuwait. The role sits within the On-sync Energy Management Services Company and covers upstream production facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and validate process and hydraulic simulation models for upstream production facilities.
• Assess oil, gas and water-handling capacity against production forecasts and operating requirements.
• Identify bottlenecks, constraints, debottlenecking opportunities and upgrade requirements.
• Lead process optimization, debottlenecking and facility performance improvement studies.
• Evaluate water injection, water disposal and production network performance.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex process and facility issues.
• Review project design bases, Statements of Requirements (SOR), FEED deliverables and performance-testing results.
• Validate simulation results against actual field performance and operating data.
• Maintain technical simulation models, facility-capacity databases and engineering data.
• Provide technical input to process safety, HAZOP, risk assessment and facility modification activities.
• Mentor engineers in simulation, hydraulic analysis, optimization and technical modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations to improve capacity, reliability and production performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant oil and gas experience, with strong upstream, process simulation and brownfield optimization experience.
• Chartered Engineer and/or Certified HAZOP Leader qualification preferred.
• Upstream oil and gas operating-company experience preferred.

Required skills

• Process and hydraulic simulation, facility-capacity assessment and bottleneck analysis.
• Knowledge of oil, gas and water-handling systems, production networks and facility optimization.
• Proficiency in recognized process and hydraulic simulation software.
• Strong knowledge of process safety, HAZOP, risk assessment and international engineering standards.
• Analytical, troubleshooting and reporting skills, plus mentoring and coaching abilities.
