Contract Administrator / Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Nicholas O’Dwyer Ltd. is looking for a Contract Administrator / Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial and contractual management of a major water‑infrastructure supervision project. The successful candidate will protect the client’s interests through diligent contract administration, cost control, and claims management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts in line with project requirements and FIDIC frameworks.
• Review and certify interim payments and final accounts.
• Measure and verify quantities of completed works.
• Assess, negotiate and manage variations, claims and contractual disputes.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to the client.
• Maintain full contractual documentation and records.
• Support procurement and tender evaluation processes.
• Monitor project costs, identify financial risks and prepare financial reports, forecasts and claims assessments.
• Participate in progress meetings and coordinate with engineering teams on variation impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in contract administration or quantity surveying roles.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Contract Administration is preferred.
• Chartered status (e.g., MRICS) is desirable.
• Proven experience on large infrastructure or water projects.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and reporting abilities.
