Corporate Credit Analyst

About the role

The Corporate Credit Analyst provides high‑quality support to managers in assessing the financial condition of existing and prospective borrowers. The role involves detailed financial statement analysis, credit risk evaluation and preparation of comprehensive reports to aid informed lending decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Spread financial statements and conduct in‑depth financial analysis, including SWOT assessments.
• Analyze credit and financial information of current and potential commercial banking customers, ranging from simple to highly complex cases.
• Perform quality checks on financial statement spreads to ensure accuracy for credit decisions.
• Assist managers on client calls on a selective basis and prepare detailed call reports.
• Monitor daily and periodic business press to stay updated on market developments.
• Coordinate account review dates with relationship officers and prioritize existing and new deals.
• Maintain organized, searchable electronic records of all analyses and reports.
• Stay informed of bank credit policies and any amendments.
• Adhere strictly to compliance, operational risk controls and regulatory standards, reporting any breaches or weaknesses.
• Participate in internal and external training to enhance product and technology knowledge.
• Research and support the preparation of credit applications.
