Design Cum Estimation Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking a Design Cum Estimation Engineer specialized in instrumentation for oil & gas projects in Kuwait. The role combines detailed design work with cost estimation to support bid proposals and project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Study, design and prepare estimates for field instruments, control & telecom cabling, CCTV, DCS, ESD, F&G, and ICSS systems.
• Conduct preliminary and detailed studies of enquiry documents, technical specifications, scope of supply, datasheets, SLDs, PFDs and plot plans.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as datasheets, material take‑offs (MTO) for instruments, cables, CCTV and control systems, and system specifications.
• Issue enquiries to approved vendors, evaluate technical and commercial offers, and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for the instrumentation portion of bid proposals and compile technical offers with deviations, scope, and exclusions.

Required profile

• B.E. or B.Tech in Instrumentation, ECE or related discipline.
• 2‑4 years of design engineering experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
• Proven experience with instrumentation design, material take‑offs and cost estimation.
