Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Power Generation & Substations

About the role

We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join JEREH Oil & Gas Engineering Corporation in Kuwait. The role focuses on pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up and ongoing maintenance of power generation and distribution equipment for the Jurassic Production Facilities 5 project.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute pre‑commissioning and commissioning documentation for GTG, EDG, substations and distribution systems.
• Commission, test, troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment including generators, switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, UPS and battery chargers.
• Lead operation and maintenance teams for gas turbine and diesel power generators.
• Integrate SCADA control systems with field equipment and coordinate with vendors.
• Develop O&M manuals, system check‑lists, operating procedures and method statements.
• Prepare single line, schematic and logic diagrams, cable schedules, hazardous area classifications and relay coordination settings.
• Manage departmental budgets, spare lists and guide subcontractors on work breakdown and scheduling.
• Liaise with clients and design engineers for approval of construction drawings and commissioning settings.

Required profile

• BE/B‑Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical commissioning, power generation or oil & gas projects.
• Project management knowledge is an advantage.
