Electrical Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead the maintenance of electrical systems on on‑shore land drilling rigs in Kuwait. The role ensures reliable operation of all electrical equipment essential for drilling activities while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all electrical components on land drilling rigs.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations, API Q2 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Lead, mentor and train a team of electrical maintenance technicians.
• Manage the electrical maintenance budget, resource allocation and PMS system.
• Monitor equipment performance, recommend improvements and generate accurate reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain documentation, time‑keeping and personnel records.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 + years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• At least 10 + years as a Maintenance Electrical Supervisor on land drilling rig equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead a skilled electrical maintenance team and manage budgets.
• Experience implementing and complying with API Q2 and ISO 9001 standards.
