Field Operator - Oil & Gas Plant Operations

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is hiring a Field Operator for its On Sync Energy Management Services Company in Kuwait. The role involves operating and monitoring production facilities and process units on a shift basis, covering commissioning, decommissioning and day-to-day plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production facilities and process units on a shift basis, including commissioning and decommissioning activities.
• Conduct routine plant inspections of process equipment, machinery, pumps and auxiliary systems, and operate valves, pumps and machinery according to operating procedures and HSE requirements.
• Monitor crude oil treatment, dehydration, desalting, gas sweetening, gas dehydration, water injection and other process systems, and control chemical consumption and injection rates.
• Perform pre-start-up, shutdown, commissioning and decommissioning activities and adjust operating parameters.
• Collect process samples, coordinate laboratory testing and report results to operations personnel.
• Maintain equipment through lubrication, oil replenishment, chemical addition, valve operation, separator draining and process adjustments.
• Record and report production volumes, flow rates, crude quality, chemical consumption and equipment performance.
• Carry out process safety checks, support work permits, inspect fire protection systems and operate fire pumps and standby generators.
• Report abnormal conditions and take emergency action, and keep assigned areas clean and tidy.

Required profile

• Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Process Engineering or Process Control Technology; a relevant science degree is also acceptable.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in oil and gas or industrial process plant operations.
• Practical experience operating production facilities, preferably with crude treatment, dehydration, desalting, gas processing and water injection systems.
• Knowledge of plant commissioning, shutdown, routine inspections, chemical handling, sampling and process monitoring.
• Understanding of work permit systems, process safety and HSE requirements.
• Ability to interpret operating parameters, maintain production records and identify abnormal plant conditions.
• Good written and spoken English and willingness to work on a rotational shift basis.
