Industrial Components Polishing Technician

About the role

The Hydraulics Division is looking for a skilled Polishing Technician in East Ahmadi, Kuwait, to carry out surface preparation and precision polishing of hydraulic rods, shafts, valve components and other industrial machine parts. The goal is to restore surface quality while keeping the dimensions and profiles needed for reliable operation. The position is full-time and requires at least 3 years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect components for scratches, corrosion, pitting, burrs and other surface defects.
• Carry out polishing, buffing, deburring and finishing with suitable machines and hand tools.
• Select abrasives, polishing compounds and finishing sequences.
• Polish hard chrome plated and other metallic surfaces according to job requirements.
• Maintain component dimensions, edge profiles and sealing surfaces during polishing.
• Check surface finish and dimensions with inspection instruments and report defects needing machining, replating or further repair.
• Coordinate with machining, plating, valve repair and quality teams.
• Maintain polishing equipment, dust extraction arrangements and clean work areas.

Required profile

• Relevant vocational training or equivalent practical experience in industrial metal finishing.
• At least 3 years of experience polishing precision industrial components.
• Experience with hydraulic rods, shafts, hard chrome plated components or valve parts.
• Understanding of surface finish requirements and the effects of excessive material removal.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and assess finished surface quality.
• Knowledge of safe operation of rotating equipment, abrasive tools and polishing machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent finish.
