Field Service Engineer I

About the role

The Field Service Engineer I provides expert emergency, maintenance, testing, engineering, programming and start‑up support for a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment. You will work on Honeywell and third‑party systems, ensuring reliable operation and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain Honeywell and third‑party HVAC, fire, security and access‑control equipment.
• Prepare shop drawings and application projects for site‑level jobs (SLJs).
• Supervise field installation, cabling and equipment commissioning.
• Design, program and configure HVAC controllers, fire panels, and access‑control panels.
• Install EBI, create graphics and perform required programming per specifications.
• Support temporary and final acceptance phases on‑site.
• Provide after‑hours support according to rostered schedules.
• Maintain customer liaison, financial control, documentation and quality assurance.
• Conduct hazard and risk assessments and report safety incidents.

Required profile

• Associate degree or technical trade school diploma; engineering or programming degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience servicing HVAC, fire, security or alarm systems.
• Advanced programming skills on Honeywell platforms.
• Strong fault‑finding ability and deep Honeywell product knowledge.
• Excellent communication, ability to work under pressure and limited supervision.
