Field Test Engineer – Mechanical/Instrumentation

About the role

The Field Test Engineer will support regional customer field tests for GE Vernova's gas and steam turbine portfolio, based at the GE Kuwait Technology Center. The role involves installing instrumentation, acquiring test data, and delivering accurate reports to ensure reliable turbine performance across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Execute regional field tests and laboratory support, including instrumentation placement, cable routing, and data acquisition.
• Develop and update test procedures and documentation in line with international standards.
• Design, construct, and operate lab test rigs, instrumentation systems, and related software.
• Perform periodic calibrations and maintain test equipment per ISO procedures.
• Report test results and daily site activities promptly to stakeholders.
• Adhere to EHS safety guidelines, participate in audits, and close open safety issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Materials, Instrumentation or Aerospace Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in field or laboratory testing, handling instrumentation and test procedures.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites in the GCC and globally.
• Strong presentation and communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
