Fraud Data Analyst – 6‑Month Contract (Banking)

About the role

The Fraud Data Analyst will act as the analytical engine of a 24/7 fraud operation for a leading international bank. Working alongside L1/L2 analysts and senior investigators, you will bridge operational insights with detection system tuning.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse fraud alerts and case data to spot trends, typologies, detection gaps and false‑positive drivers.
• Support rule and threshold tuning on the fraud monitoring platform, building evidence, modelling impact and documenting changes.
• Design and produce operational MI such as alert volumes, disposition outcomes, SLA performance and fraud loss metrics.
• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for fraud leadership.
• Support post‑incident and thematic reviews with deep‑dive data analysis.
• Contribute to knowledge transfer and coaching of the client’s analyst team.

Required profile

• 3+ years in data analytics within fraud, financial crime or banking operations.
• Strong SQL skills (essential) and experience with Python or R.
• Proficiency with BI/visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Familiarity with fraud detection platforms (e.g., FICO Falcon, NICE Actimize, SAS).
• Clear English communication and ability to present analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Valid passport with at least 12 months remaining and immediate availability preferred.
