Full Stack Engineer

About the role

TalentScript is looking for a Lead Full‑Stack Engineer to become the first in‑house technical hire for a Kuwait‑based technology startup. You will take ownership of an existing platform that spans mobile apps, web interfaces, backend services and connected devices, and guide its evolution as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the external development agency to review source code, understand architecture and manage a smooth technical handover.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and enhance mobile applications, frontend UI, backend services and APIs across the full stack.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure, databases, deployments, performance monitoring and system reliability on AWS.
• Manage integrations between applications, third‑party services and IoT devices using RESTful and TCP protocols.
• Identify technical weaknesses, propose improvements and lead rebuilding efforts where needed.
• Work directly with founders to translate business needs into technical solutions and shape the platform roadmap.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in full‑stack development, especially with PHP and JavaScript.
• Proven track record of maintaining and improving live production applications.
• Ability to independently understand unfamiliar codebases, trace issues and implement reliable fixes.
• Experience taking technical ownership of projects, preferably involving external development teams.
• Comfortable making technical decisions without an established internal engineering team.
