Guest Service Assistant - Telecommunications

About the role

Jumeirah Messilah Beach, a beachfront resort in Kuwait with 316 rooms and suites, 79 residential suites and 10 villas, is hiring a Guest Service Assistant for its Telecommunications department. The role covers answering calls, handling messages and faxes, managing guest requests and supporting shift handovers.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all calls promptly and professionally, using standardized English and phrases, and assist with requests by directing them to the right department or room number.
• Handle incoming and outgoing faxes and messages for in-house and expected guests, and follow up on requests to ensure timely handling and guest satisfaction.
• Manage emergencies efficiently and escalate guest satisfaction issues to senior colleagues immediately.
• Attend and take part in daily briefings, read daily updates and manage guest requests and reports through Service One and HotSOS.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and keep accurate records of all activities.
• Record, check and hand over wake-up calls accurately, making sure they are made on time and recorded clearly.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; an associate's degree or college coursework is preferred.
• Prior experience in administrative, front office or guest-facing roles is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor with guests, vendors and team members.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize and manage time in a fast-paced environment, with discretion over sensitive information and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
