Steward – Silver Care and Dishwashing

About the role

Jumeirah Messilah Beach, a 316-room beachfront resort in Kuwait, is hiring a Steward for its Stewarding Team. The role covers dishwashing, silver care and general housekeeping duties, with a tax-free salary paid in Kuwaiti dinar.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the dishwashing machine correctly: turn it on and off, de-lime it, change the water and add chemicals.
• Handle chemicals safely and store them properly.
• Load and unload dishware and flatware from the machine and store them properly.
• Maintain a clean, neat and organized work area.
• Report accidents immediately and respond appropriately to emergencies and safety situations.
• Perform other tasks assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Set up, clean and use the silver burnishing machine safely.
• Use cleaning compounds and chemicals safely.
• Follow a daily and weekly schedule to polish all silver items in the hotel, then clean, polish, sort and transport the silver.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in the same role in a five-star hotel.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Good communication skills.
