Head of Department – Information Technology

About the role

The Head of Information Technology will define and execute Al Mulla Exchange’s technology vision, driving enterprise‑wide digital transformation and strengthening cybersecurity across a multi‑national team. This senior leader will ensure technology remains a competitive advantage while supporting rapid business growth in a highly regulated financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long‑term technology strategy aligned with corporate goals, advising executives on investments, innovation, and emerging trends.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives across customer channels, operations, compliance, treasury and support functions, championing agile delivery.
• Oversee execution of strategic IT programs, ensuring high‑quality solutions, robust governance, architecture standards and best‑practice software development.
• Manage IT operations and infrastructure to guarantee high availability, scalability, security and performance, including cloud adoption, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity standards, strengthening information‑security frameworks and operational resilience.
• Define API strategy and drive integrations with banks, payment gateways, fintech platforms, AML systems and other third‑party providers.

Required profile

• Proven senior technology leader with strong business acumen and deep technical expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver enterprise‑scale transformation in fast‑paced, highly regulated financial services.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple geographies.
• Excellent governance, service‑delivery and stakeholder‑management skills.
