Fraud Data Analytics Consultant – Remote then Onsite in Kuwait

About the role

Capitex is seeking a senior Fraud Data Analytics Consultant for a 6‑month engagement with a leading regional bank. The first two months are remote from the UK, after which the consultant will relocate to Kuwait City for the remaining period.

Key responsibilities

• Query, extract and correlate data across digital channels, card fraud alerts, case management and core banking systems to uncover fraud patterns.
• Translate analysis into actionable detection rules, delivering recommendations that improve false‑positive rates and detection effectiveness.
• Design and build dashboards and management reports on rule performance, alert outcomes and fraud losses.
• Lead the development of the fraud analytics layer within the bank’s Microsoft Fabric data lake programme.
• Mentor and up‑skill the bank’s analyst team through knowledge‑transfer activities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of consultant‑level experience in fraud or financial‑crime data analytics within banking, payments or fintech.
• Proven track record of reducing losses, cutting false positives and improving detection metrics.
• Immediate availability and willingness to relocate to Kuwait City for months 3‑6.

Required skills

• Strong Python programming.
• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting tools.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric or Databricks.
