Head of Marketing

About the role

Rateb is launching a digital wallet in Kuwait to digitise salary payments for domestic workers and their employers. As Head of Marketing you will own the go‑to‑market strategy, build the brand from scratch and drive acquisition of both employers and workers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the go‑to‑market plan for Rateb’s launch in its first market.
• Build brand positioning and messaging for two distinct audiences – employers and beneficiaries.
• Plan, launch and optimise multi‑channel acquisition campaigns, managing budgets and performance targets.
• Establish and track key metrics such as cost per acquisition, activation and retention.
• Manage agency and partner relationships, briefing external creative and media teams.
• Develop culturally relevant messaging for Kuwait’s multilingual population.
• Collaborate with product and operations to align the customer journey from first touch to active use.
• Report marketing performance and spend to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven marketing leadership experience, preferably in fintech, payments, telco or consumer services.
• Track record of taking a product to market – launch experience rather than steady‑state brand management.
• Strong understanding of performance‑marketing economics (CAC, funnel, retention).
• Experience marketing to underserved or hard‑to‑reach audiences is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kuwait’s market and media landscape.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
