About the role

The KC-130J Aircraft Mechanic III is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the airframe and power‑plant systems of the KC‑130J aircraft. The role involves performing maintenance to established KC‑130J standards, conducting operational and functional tests, and ensuring all work complies with technical directives.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in aircraft airframes, power‑plant, and supporting systems.
• Perform maintenance tasks in accordance with KC‑130J manuals, including component removal, inspection, re‑installation, and calibration.
• Execute operational testing procedures and functional tests for landing gear, flight control, hydraulic, engine, and propeller systems.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment while adhering to local tool‑control programs.
• Interpret and apply manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, diagrams, and schematics.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of aircraft airframe and power‑plant engineering principles.
• Experience with landing gear, flight control, hydraulic, engine, and propeller systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and engineering diagrams.
• Competence in using hand and power tools, as well as precision measurement equipment.
