About the role
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating and monitoring washing, dry‑cleaning and drying equipment, ensuring all linen and garments are processed to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Key responsibilities
- Operate washing, dry‑cleaning and drying machinery, add chemicals, clean lint traps and set appropriate cycles.
- Inspect items for stains or damage and decide on rewash, spot‑treatment, repair or discard.
- Fold cleaned articles by hand or using a folding machine and place them in clean linen carts.
- Maintain accurate records of laundered items and follow safety, security and company policies.
Required profile
- No high school diploma or GED required.
- No prior related work experience required.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Commitment to confidentiality, uniform standards and teamwork.
Required skills
- Operation of commercial washing machines.
- Operation of dry‑cleaning equipment.
- Basic knowledge of chemical handling for laundry processes.
